Privacy Policy
Last updated 2 October 2026. This policy covers the Strykee app for iPhone and Apple Watch, and this website.
Strykee helps you find things worth doing and actually do them. It has no ads and no tracking, and it doesn't run its own servers: what leaves your iPhone goes to Apple's iCloud.
Who we are
Strykee is responsible for your data as described here (the "controller"). Contact us any time at hi@strykee.com.
In the app
- Your Strykes, their times, parts, alarms and history.
- Your settings, your activity list, and people you blocked.
- Your phone number, if you add one.
- What you save or open in Explore.
- Shared Strykes: the title, time, color, who's in, and each person's status (joined, done).
- Only the people you invite can see a shared Stryke. Leave it or delete it any time.
- Your profile: your name, avatar color, photo (if you add one), whether people may find you by name, and your iCloud user identifier.
- If you add a phone number: a one-way code made from it (a hash). Friends' Strykee compares it with the numbers in their contacts. Your number itself is never published.
- Invitations you send: your name and the Stryke's title, time, color and repeat, until they're answered or the Stryke is deleted.
Permissions
- Location (while using the app): Explore uses it to find places near you through Apple Maps. Strykee doesn't store it or send it anywhere else.
- Contacts: to pick people to invite. To see whether a contact is on Strykee, the app looks up the one-way code of their number; their contact details aren't uploaded.
- Notifications and alarms: reminders and alarms are scheduled on your iPhone.
- Photos: only the picture you choose for your profile.
What the app doesn't do
- No accounts of its own: you're identified by your iCloud account, handled by Apple.
- No ads, no analytics, no tracking, no selling or sharing data with anyone.
Deleting your data
In Strykee, go to Settings → Privacy → Delete all data. It removes your profile, invitations you sent, shared Strykes you set up (they end for everyone), your place in shared Strykes you joined, and everything on your iPhone. You can also remove Strykee's data from iCloud in iOS Settings → your name → iCloud.
Apple
iCloud, Apple Maps and push notifications are provided by Apple under Apple's privacy policy.
The waitlist
- What we collect: your email address and, if you give it, your first name.
- Why: to tell you when Strykee launches, invite you to the beta, and send a few product updates before launch. Nothing else.
- Legal basis: your consent, which you give by ticking the box when you join. Withdraw it any time with the unsubscribe link in any email, or by writing to hi@strykee.com.
- Who handles it for us: the form is run by Tally (Tally BV, Belgium), which stores answers in the EU. If we send you email, we use an email service that acts only on our instructions. We never sell or share the list.
- How long: until you unsubscribe, or at most 12 months after launch, whichever comes first.
This website
- No cookies, no ads, no tracking across sites, and no third-party fonts.
- The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like every web host, it processes your IP address to deliver pages and keep them secure.
- We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and doesn't identify you, so we can see how many people visit and join.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete it, and you can object to or limit how we use it. Write to hi@strykee.com; we answer within 30 days. If you think we got something wrong, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Strykee isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date above changes. Important changes are also shown in the app in Settings → About.
